Director Dharmesh ji had come to me and before narrating the script, he told me one thing; he said that I will definitely love the character and guaranteed that I will get my first award because of the role. Mumbai, Aug 19: Arjun Rampal did not have a glorious start in Bollywood, but shot to fame with his bravura performance as a rockstar in "Rock On!" and since then there has been no looking back for the National Award winning actor. He feels that he has grown with each film and finds his 12-year journey in the industry "great" and "enjoyable".
If he made a humble beginning with a dud like "Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat" in 2001 followed by a string of flops, the actor reinvented himself successfully with "Don" in 2006 and came into his own with "Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd" and "Om Shanti Om".
But the icing on the cake was his award-winning.

We all know and love that in classic Bollywood films our hero and heroine are usually at some point in a song transported to a mountain top in Switzerland in the snow or in the case of I Hate Luv Storys, New Zealand. Although it is not just in songs that we see foreign locations, London has been a very popular city for location shoots and we have seen many a film and scene set there, including classics like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and more recently Patiala House. However, since audiences have become all too familiar with places such as Switzerland and London, Scotland with its gorgeous terrain and unique castles has become an obvious choice for many directors looking for something different. In fact, Ashwani Chopra, head of Trimurti Films, said while making Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, “We chose Scotland because it gives a different backdrop and we don...

For someone who was called teakwood for at least half a decade before seeing some acclaim coming his way, Arjun Rampal has come a long way indeed. After playing a crooked film producer in "Om Shanti "Om", a brooding failed musician in "Rock On!" and a lame reluctant gangster in "Don", Arjun Rampal thinks it's high time he shed his serious image and show his funny side in multi-starrer "Housefull"."This is why I am mixing it all up now.
