As a pastor, I really believed this movie, great depth by Damian
This movie was so much better than I thought it would be. I have seen several of Damian's movies, and I thought the truthfulness of this character was outstanding. When I compared this to Robert Duval's "the Apostle", this is so much better in truthfulness. First of all, I am very much "in tune" with the Holy Spirit and His work in the church. This was so truthful I could sense the anointing when Damian was performing his activities as a Spirit-filled pastor. Without commenting on the actual person's life being portrayed, This portrayal of a Spirit filled pastor doing the works of God using the gifts of the Holy Spirit is as actual as any spirit filled church in the Pentecostal world. The prison scenes were also poignant and realistic. The writing was also clear and covered the life in a superb conciseness. There were a few scenes in the original family setting that lost some truthfulness, but other than those few, the rest were "right on".
