Actress Cameron Diaz has given her fans her top bit of advice for a happy relationship. The ‘Me, Myself and Irene’ star, 51, tied the knot with Benji Madden in 2015 and has continued to gush about her man and their relationship.
The Hollywood star has provided a bit of advice she thinks is key – sleep in separate bedrooms, reports Mirror.co.uk.
Despite the ‘Shrek’ actress recognising it’s a controversial idea, she is adamant it’s a genius idea and is urging people to “normalise” the way of thinking.
“We should normalise separate bedrooms,” Cameron told the Lipstick on the Rim podcast. “To me, I would literally, I have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I’m fine. And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations.

Cameron Diaz is shooting down the rumors about bad on-set behavior by her “Back in Action” co-star Jamie Foxx. “Everyone loves him,” she said.
Speaking on the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, Diaz responded to rumors after Foxx’s on-set medical issue halted filming.
“Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew,” Diaz said. “Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him and he’s just a professional on every level.”
Online rumors claimed that Foxx acted “crazy” and ruined the set. One rumor alleged that Diaz would never film again “because of him.”
“I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time,” Diaz said. “You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?’”
Diaz said some “natural” production hiccups occurred but nothing major.

Makoto Shinkai has been called the new Hayao Miyazaki from the moment he arrived on the scene -- and not entirely without reason. The filmmaker has made some of the most successful anime movies of all time, employing stunning visuals that bring tear-jerking stories to life. Like Miyazaki, Shinkai blends traditional Japanese folklore with modern stories to tell fantastical yet intimate coming-of-age stories.
Shinkai's latest, "Suzume," is a movie he's been slowly building his whole career up to. This serves as the end of his unofficial natural disaster trilogy that started with "Your Name," this time directly tackling the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in the plot. In "Suzume," we follow the titular character, a young woman living in a small town in Japan who is tasked with closing a series of magical turns across the country before it falls into another disaster. Along the way, Suzume and her companion (who...

Officially the highest grossing film in the entire Insidious franchise, the Patrick Wilson-directed Insidious: The Red Door just passed another major milestone over the weekend.
The worldwide total for Insidious: The Red Door as of this writing is $182,430,087, which makes the franchise’s fifth installment the highest grossing horror movie of 2023 to date!
The previous worldwide record holder for the horror genre this year was Universal’s big time success M3GAN, which finished its run with $180 million earlier this year.
Other horror movies this year that have come close to Insidious: The Red Door‘s record-holding amount include Scream VI ($168.9 million) and Evil Dead Rise ($146.7 million).
In just its first few days of release, Meg 2: The Trench has already gobbled up $142 million worldwide, so it’s only a matter of time before it completely smashes down The Red Door.
But for now, the new Insidious movie holds the crown.

Inga Swenson, the two-time Tony-nominated singer and actress who as the dictatorial German cook Gretchen Kraus sparred with Robert Guillaume‘s character on the 1980s ABC sitcom Benson, has died. She was 90.
Swenson died Sunday night of natural causes in hospice care in Los Angeles, her son, Mark Harris, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Swenson also sparkled in two critically acclaimed 1962 films released seven weeks apart — as the mother of Helen Keller (Patty Duke) in Arthur Penn’s The Miracle Worker (1962) and as the wife of a U.S. senator with a dark secret (Don Murray) in Otto Preminger’s political thriller Advise & Consent (1962).
On the strength of those performances, the Nebraska native — no, she was not born in Germany — was cast in 1963 as the spinster Lizzy in 110 in the Shade, based on N. Richard Nash’s play The Rainmaker. She received a Tony nomination for best actress in a musical for that performance,...

Inga Swenson, the versatile actress best known for memorable portrayals of combative women on the TV hits Soap and Benson, has died. Her son confirmed the news to TMZ. Swenson was 90.
Swenson’s involvement on the shows began with a multi-episode arc on Soap in 1978 as the conniving revenge-seeking Ingrid Svenson, the Swedish birth mother of Corinne Tate (Diana Canova). That led to a new role on the show’s spinoff, Benson, as Gretchen Kraus, an autocratic and combative German cook.
Over the course of the latter Swenson’s character was frequently at odds with Benson (Robert Guillaume) himself, often trading insults with him as he sought to run household affairs for Governor Eugene X. Gatling (James Noble). Despite their rivalry, Benson and Kraus later became close friends on the show. Swenson was Emmy nominated three times for the role, in 1980, 1982 and 1985.

The type of film “Lipstick” aspires to be is clear. It wants its audience to know loud and clear that it is perfectly ok to be yourself, and that whilst some may not take to it, you should be undeterred from showing your true identity to the world. However, the messaging occasionally becomes lost in muddied layering and subtle meanings, which somewhat clouds the overarching, optimistic intentions of the quadruplet of directors.
At the core of proceedings is Jin Joon-won, an adolescent who tussles with both his gender and sexuality identity amongst an unforgiving school setting. The traditionally masculine men here are intimidating to this scrawny, dainty looking boy, and despite the evident irony in the fact these bullies take pleasure in comparing penis sizes, choose to target the defenceless teenager out of disgust that he may wish to want to apply lipstick to himself. Their resulting acts may be more embarrassing than brutal,...

Screenplay writer Gazal Dhaliwal is a storyteller who has worked on films like "Wazir", "Lipstick Under My Burkha" and "Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga", but is often introduced to the world as a transwoman. She says as long as she represents the community and inspires many dreamers, she is okay with the constant emphasis on her gender identity.

Asked if it bothers her when people highlight her sexuality before her work, Dhaliwal told Ians: "Look the question that you are asking is complex, so the answer cannot be a 'yes' or 'no'. In the professional world, I want to be known for my work rather than my status as a transwoman. My gender cannot be my only identity when I am writing a story because a story has no gender.

When someone says they're "surviving high school," it can usually be considered an exaggeration, but when it comes to the teachers and students of Lincoln High, there's a literal truth in the phrase. Sinister students stalk the school's halls and don't hesitate to teach their own warped lessons to teachers after the bell rings in Mark L. Lester's Class of 1984. Scream Factory is releasing the early ’80s thriller in a Collector's Edition Blu-ray on April 14th, and we've been provided with two copies to give away to a couple of lucky Daily Dead readers.
"Synopsis: The teachers at Lincoln High have a very dangerous problem… their students!
Andrew Norris (Perry King, Lipstick, Mandingo), an idealistic and naive music teacher, has moved into a new community with his pregnant wife, Diane (Merrie Lynn Ross, General Hospital), only to find his new job is an academic abyss. Appalled by the crime-infested school,...

Detention doesn't solve problems in Class of 1984. The atrocious actions of the unruly students call for a far more intense form of discipline that Mr. Norris is pushed to dish out in the early ’80s thriller from Mark L. Lester. Soon, you can experience Class of 1984’s extracurricular revenge like never before, as Scream Factory's Collector's Edition Blu-ray of the film comes out on April 14th. Ahead of its release, we have the trailer and two clips from the Blu-ray, giving us a look at a young Michael J. Fox and a gun-wielding Roddy McDowall.

Chicago – If you thought the end of the story was the suicide of famed author Ernest “Papa” Hemingway in 1961, then you never paid attention to the fate of the generations down the line bearing his name. Granddaughter Mariel Hemingway seeks her own truth among the tragedy of her family’s legacy in the redemptive “Running from Crazy.”
Rating: 5.0/5.0
Mariel Hemingway is an Oscar nominated actress, for her role as a teenager in the classic Woody Allen film, “Manhattan.” She is an earnest professional, but behind that mask was a four generation curse of depression, substance abuse and suicide. There is a point the film in which Mariel must wear some symbolic necklaces for the losses from those in her family taking their own lives. She selects one color for her sister Margaux, and six more for the other family members. Her burden is achingly revealed in this flawlessly structured documentary by veteran filmmaker Barbara Kopple.

Hollywood script doctor favoured by Sydney Pollack
Like certain potentates who travel with a personal physician, the director Sydney Pollack almost always had his own script doctor close at hand to revitalise a sick screenplay. David Rayfiel, who has died of congestive heart failure aged 87, was called in on the majority of Pollack's features, usually for a few weeks, in order to fix specific problems, rewrite here and there, and add and subtract lines. Though well remunerated for his work, Rayfiel was usually given no screen credit.
However, the spotlight was sometimes turned on him, such as when Robert Redford called Rayfiel "the unsung hero of almost every picture Sydney Pollack and I have made together". When Out of Africa (1985) won the Oscar for best picture, Pollack thanked Rayfiel for "keeping us honest" and Kurt Luedtke, upon accepting the Academy award for his screenplay of the same film, also acknowledged Rayfiel.

For years fans have been hoping that Rituals - starring Hal Holbrook (Into the Wild), Robin Gammell (Lipstick) and Lawrence Dane (Scanners) - would finally arrive to DVD. Hope was risen when Code Red teased about a release for years! ....Well it looks like some good news is finally in sight for fans of this little known horror chiller from the 80's.
According to the Navarre Distribution Services website, Rituals will be arriving to DVD on April 5, 2011! However, you better get your copy quick. Anyone remember Final Exam or Savage Streets with Linda Blair. Those films were released by Navarre for Code Red Entertainment. However, those films became quickly discontinued and the value at times on these films shot up to $100! So if you are intent on getting a copy for your collection, you better do so soon after the film's initial release, unless you're willing to fork over that...

Well, Hollywood may be getting quiet this week, but Twitter-Wood most certainly is not. In fact, most everyone who's fleeing Los Angeles in our feed has been chronicling their fear and near-death experiences driving in the rain as they attempt to get out. Slightly more interesting, however, have been reactions to the "Survivor: Nicaragua" finale, "The Fighter" and "Black Swan."
Micro-reviews from Ice-t, Jon Favreau and Alicia Silverstone can be found after jump. There, you'll also find out who from the "Community" cast has been giving away Nintendo DS games and how Steve Martin approaches jury duty.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for December 20, 2010.

@Finallevel I watched the Survivor finale last night.. Am I wrong? Or is that game based on lying, back stabbing & double crossing your teammates.

The memorial tweets continued long after I checked the Twitter-Wood feed last night and posted the flurry of reactions to Michael Jackson’s death that were showing up. Today, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger offered his condolences and Paris Hilton, in addition to a steady stream of thoughts about the King of Pop’s death, posted a recent family photo taken with Jackson.
There will surely be more before today’s regular Twitter-Wood update goes up later today, but in the meantime, here are the day’s most recent Michael Jackson-related tweets from Jon Favreau, Mariel Hemingway, Michael Ian Black, and others.
@Schwarzenegger We lost a great entertainer and a pop icon. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michael Jackson’s family, friends and fans.
-Arnold Schwarzenegger, Actor (”Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” “Total Recall”)
