Popular Bollywood filmmaker Ravi Chopra has died at the age of 68. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital where he was reportedly being treated for a lung ailment which he has been suffering from for the past few years. He died at around 3:30pm on Wednesday. Mr Chopra is famous for having directed popular films such as Baghban (2003) and Baabul (2006). He also directed the critically acclaimed television series Mahabharata, which was produced by his father B. R. Chopra.
Mr. Chopra is also the nephew of legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra and the cousin of Aditya Chopra and Uday Chopra. He is survived by his wife and three children. He made his directing debut with the film Zameer (1975). His last project was the famous Bhootnath series starring legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. Mr Chopra’s funeral is reportedly scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Just two days back, the whole world was shocked with the sudden demise of Yash Chopra. And now, his nephew filmmaker Ravi Chopra (66) has been admitted to the ICU of a city hospital. Ravi, the son of late producer-director B. R. Chopra, has been reportedly diagnosed with an acute lung ailment.
