Pop orchestra leader responsible for the mambo craze that swept America during the early 1950s. Numerous hit recordings included, among others, "Patricia", "Mambo Jambo" and "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White". Would often interject his musical numbers with his signature grunt of "Dilo!".

John Bright was born on 1 January 1908 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was a writer, known for The Public Enemy (1931), The Accusing Finger (1936) and Blonde Crazy (1931). He was married to Jeanne Dunne. He died on 14 September 1989 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
