Dichen Lachman was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, to a Tibetan mother and Australian father. Until the age of seven, she lived in Kathmandu with her parents and extended family. Following that, she moved to Adelaide, Australia, with her parents. After dropping out of university, Dichen took up acting and then moved to Sydney to pursue her career. Her first major role was in Aquamarine (2006), followed by a 14-month stint on the Australian series Neighbours (1985), for which she moved to Melbourne. From drama to comedy, Daya Vaidya has made a name for herself through the dynamic characters she has brought to life on screen, and her ability to seamlessly transform into every role she embodies.
Daya starred for six seasons as political shark Jen Kowski on Amazon's hit thriller/drama series "Bosch," based on the best-selling novels by Michael Connelly. Daya also recently completed a major recurring arc on "Superman and Lois," bringing to life the DC Comics super villain - Onomatopeoia! She is also reprising her role as Jen Kowski on "Bosch: Legacy" and is starring as a series regular on the BET Plus series, "Black Hamptons."
In addition to her current work, Daya has appeared in critically acclaimed projects in film and television over the years, including a series regular role on the CBS hit "Unforgettable" where she starred as the savvy, street smart Nina Inara. Additional credits include: "Major Crimes," "Castle," "Twisted," "Two and a Half Men," and "Dexter." Daya has also worked behind the scenes with her husband, actor/writer/producer Don Wallace. The duo met on the set of the award winning, indie film "Blue" which they starred in together and Don wrote/produced.
Raised in Oakland, California, Daya was immersed in the arts from a young age. At just three years old she began dancing under the tutelage of Oakland Ballet's artistic director Ron Guidi and by the age of 11, she was performing with the prestigious Bay Area Youth Theater, playing Anita in West Side Story, Tzeital in "Fiddler on the Roof," among many others; as well as becoming a lead dancer in their 'Dance Wing' company. She also performed in her first Equity production of "Smile," at only 16 years old.
Daya attended UCLA where she majored in Dance. After two years Daya took a sabbatical from college and danced on scholarship with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. Although she loved to dance, Daya wanted to finish pursuing her degree and decided to change her major to Theater. She returned to Los Angeles and completed her studies at UCLA earning a BFA in Theater Arts. While in Los Angeles, she has starred in many regional theater productions, including the west coast premiere of Jose Rivera's "Marisol," where she played the title role.
Upon graduating, Daya began auditioning for film, dance and television projects...she has been working ever since. Additionally, Daya also loves to teach children dance and acting. She coached and taught at Walter Pridgen's Acting Studios, as well as privately coached dancers and actors alike- including several children who went on to become professional actors. Daya is a member of the Los Angeles based theater company - Theatre Tribe and continues refining her craft with award winning director and acting coach, Stuart Rogers.
As a multi-racial woman, whose father was South Asian Gujurati and whose Mother is of Italian and Spanish descent, Daya is a vocal peace activist fighting for social justice, diversity in Hollywood and women's rights. Manisha Koirala (born 16 August 1970) is a Nepali actress who mainly appears in Bollywood, though she has worked in several South Indian and her native country's films. Noted for her acting prowess, Koirala is the recipient of several accolades, including four Filmfare Awards-and is one of India's most well-known actresses. Critics have noted that her niche as an actor remains unharmed irrespective of her commercial potent. Manisha was born into the politically prominent Koirala family, in which several of her family members went on to rule the nation, but she did not aspire to pursue a career in politics. A stint in modeling opened a career path in films, and she made her Bollywood debut with the top-grossing production Saudagar (1991). In spite of initial struggle to leave a mark, she went on to establish herself as one of the leading actresses in the 1990s with such films as 1942: A Love Story (1994), Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995), Agni Sakshi (1996) and Gupt (1997). Koirala gained particular recognition for her willingness to experiment with a variety of strong, dramatic roles, and she delivered several acclaimed performances in a range of films that did well with critics, including Bombay (1995), Khamoshi: The Musical (1996), Dil Se.. (1998), Mann (1999), Lajja (2001), Company (2002), and Escape from Taliban (2003). These films brought Koirala several awards and nominations, including three Filmfare Critics Awards for Best Actress, a South Filmfare Award for Best Actress, and a Star Screen Award Best Actress, among others. This was followed by a major period of decline when most of her films failed to do well. Her work in the Malyalam drama Elektra, the anthology film I Am (both 2010), and the romantic comedy Mappillai (2011) was received well, but she took a break from acting in 2012 to return three years later with the psychological thriller Chehere: A Modern Day Classic (2015).
She was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund in 1999 and 2015, and was involved in the relief works after the Nepal earthquake 2015. She promotes various causes such as women's rights, prevention of violence against women, prevention of human trafficking and cancer awareness.
Manisha was seen back on the Silver Screen with Sunaina Bhattnagar's Dear Maya. Manisha received appreciation from her fans and industry from across the whole of India. She has been seen doing some amazing motivational and social events.
She was one of the speakers along side Dalai Lama and CM of Andhra Pradesh at the Womens's Parliament, Amravati. She advocated on how we need more women in our board rooms, court rooms, schools and universities to make policies for women and that women should stand in solidarity for each other. Manisha's TEDx talk touched hearts of millions of people and she has received appreciation from across worldwide for same. She spoke about her struggle with cancer and her brave victory as a warrior and highly advocates on how focusing from early day on our personal health can do wonders. Her philosophy is to focus on mind, body and soul rather than just physical body to stay fit and positive.- Rohit made his film debut with Dear Zindagi (2016) in a supporting role. Deepak Raj Giri is a Nepali comedian, producer, director, actor, and television presenter. His comedy program Tito Satya, the longest running TV Show in Nepal, aired for more than 12 years. Sunil Thapa is a well known Nepalese actor. Best known for his highest grossing at the time of releases like Chino,Ranko,Sapana. He is often called as "Raate Kaila" in media and among popular movie figures in Nepal. Raate Kaila is the character he played in Chino, which not only established him as an able actor in Nepali cinema but gave him the everlasting popularity that few actors other than the heroes in films get. Known for his tall, rotund stature and prolific sense of humor, Paul Henderson is a multi-talented actor, writer, comic, and musician. Paul began making Super 8mm films at the age of 12, and later performed in Southeastern regional theater and music on the Gulf Coast before being discovered by director Alan Parker, and cast in the Academy Award-winning Mississippi Burning (1988).
In 1988, Henderson moved to Los Angeles, where he began performing stand-up comedy, and quickly became a regular performer and doorman at the "World Famous" Comedy Store, on the Sunset Strip. There Paul met and became friends with comic Sam Kinison, with whom he would go on to work as an opening act in Kinison's "Outlaws of Comedy." It was at the Comedy Store where Henderson began a career as a comedy writer, creating material (often uncredited) for many well-known comics, as well as a contributing joke writer to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1992).
In 1991, Henderson became associated with comic actor Andy Dick, and has since written, performed, and collaborated with Dick on a number of projects, including The Andy Dick Show (2001), Division III: Football's Finest (2011), along with countless podcasts and live musical comedy performances at clubs and colleges across America.
As a performer, Paul Henderson specializes in dialects, impressions, and twisted characterizations. He is also an accomplished singer and writer of songs in a wide variety of musical genres, usually choosing to showcase these talents under his pseudonym The Guise. Madan Krishna Shrestha is one of the most famous and respected Nepalese television actor and comedian in the Nepalese entertainment industry. Born on April of 1950, he has been working in Nepalese entertainment industry for a very long time achieving highest fame and recognization among the Nepali people. He received his primary education from the Montessori school, J.P. school and Padmadev School. He passed SLC (a final examination in secondary level of Nepal) from Shanti Nikunja School and then he did his I.Com. at Mahendra Ratna Public College and attempted a B.A. at a private institute. Since he was very much involved in the field of art, he could not make it through his graduation.
Madan Krishna Shrerstha is well known for his acting skills on both TV series and TV movies with genre as a comedian. Narayan Gopal Guruwacharya (October 4, 1939 - December 5, 1990) was a prominent popular singer and composer of Nepali music.Regarded one of the most significant cultural icons in Nepal,He is widely referred as "Swar Samrat" (meaning: Emperor of Voice) in Nepali music.
