• Wow was I not expecting this to be good but it sure did prove me wrong.

This has phenomenal special affects, very creepy vibe with great tense music and a unique story that is a fresh relief with how over saturated horror is. The young adults in the film are also not cliche idiots thank goodness!.

There is not much shots of the area but you feel like you know the town. They don't get too heavily into character development but you feel like you know and really like the dad and son. The directing is so superb it makes you feel interested the whole time and care about the people you're watching. This is a very sad movie just be warned.

The horror is quite scary and still holds up, pumpkinhead looks very creepy and realistic. The use of fog, brutal gore and flickering lights/red scenes, with a wicked soundtrack makes this very spine chilling.

The only thing I really didn't like was the dad's family member gets hurt, but it doesn't seem like much. Then he is lying on the ground blinking and looking bored the whole time and eventually speaks one word an hour later and dies? That's just bad acting.

Other than this it was almost flawless in an acting, story and horror sense.

Overall I would highly reccomend you watch this! But just remember "keep away from pumpkinhead unless you're tired of living".
