Raquel Quintana(I)

Raquel Quintana Martín was always fully aware of the fact that acting
was definitely her way. From a very young age, she took official
lessons in Spanish and Contemporary Dance but soon discovered that
acting was her individual route towards personal and professional
development.
In 2003, she achieved her first leading role in the children's TV series, "El mundo mágico de Brunelesky" (Telecinco). The show was so overwhelmingly successful that, in fact, it was adapted into a musical and is running in the Arlequín Theatre and the Nuevo Teatro Alcalá venue, in Madrid.
From this moment on, she develops a rich, varied and constant career in television, participating in hits such as "Amar en tiempos revueltos" or "El secreto de Puente Viejo". Raquel also took part in series like "Gran Hotel", "Con el culo al aire" and the international audiovisual production, "Falcón, el ciego de Sevilla" (Falcón, the blind man of Seville), directed by Pete Travis. She currently hosts the weekly program 100% Sun, broadcasted on Telecinco.
Alongside her work in television, Raquel also performs in theatre productions. The different characters she plays lead her through distinct registers which enable her to enjoy and continue learning and evolving thanks to contemporary texts, like "El país", "The Vortex" or "Cock"; and great classical ones by Shakespeare, Chekhov or Ibsen through plays like Othello, Troilus and Cressida or The Seagull.
Her constant desire to continue learning has lead her to attend interpretative courses with Adán Black, Andrés Lima, Bob McAndrew, Fernando Piernas o Claudio Tolcachir, among others.
