Initially, Kimi Räikkönen was declared the winner, even though Fisichella overtook him to claim the lead on lap 54. The result was later revised and the standings at the end of lap 54 became the official outcome of the race. Räikkönen handed the winner's trophy to Fisichella ahead of the next race.
