Jason Baum is an award winning filmmaker originally from Maui, Hawaii. He has produced for some of the most visionary directors of our time- Spike Jonze, Ava DuVernay, Joey Soloway, and Hiro Murai. His latest feature film, Beastie Boys Story, was recently nominated for five Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Special.
His career started in music videos where he has made memorable visuals for Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Sia, Kendrick Lamar, and Arcade Fire. During that time, he also collaborated with the top creative commercial agencies, including Wieden+Kennedy, Leo Burnett, and 72andSunny; and for brands such as Instagram, Samsung, Nike, Verizon, and Starbucks.
These various projects have been nominated and/or won Emmys, Grammys, Cannes Lions, Clios, MTV VMAs, together with being official selections at Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. His work has over 4 billion views on YouTube and can be found on almost every major streaming platform including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+. A graduate of New York University's Undergraduate Film Program, he is based in Los Angeles and works across the United States and internationally.
