Barbara has been working in the entertainment business since her teenage years -- in many capacities.
Starting at 14, she and her twin sister Nancy acted in several television commercials. Soon after, Barbara and Nancy began acting in movies, among them Denys Arcand's Academy Award-winning, "Jesus of Montreal."
In her early 20's she and Nancy started singing, and formed the band, "Les Jumelles Magma" (The Magma Twins) which became NXB later on. Nancy and Barbara recorded two albums as singers which led to four hit songs landing in the top ten on the Quebecois Billboard charts and also on the Canadian Billboard chart. They appeared on several Quebec television shows and performed live on Canada Day before 100 thousand spectators in Ottawa and on national TV via Radio Canada Television (CBC).
In her late 20's Barbara and Nancy moved to Los Angeles. They had small speaking roles in "Mr. Deeds" and "Malcolm in The Middle." Additionally, Barbara worked as a stand-in and photo-double for Elizabeth Hurley on the movie "Bedazzled" and Kathryn Morris in Steven Spielberg's "Minority Report."
In 2001 Barbara and Nancy returned to Montreal, where they began working behind the camera. Barbara started to work non-stop as an executive assistant in Montreal. She assisted Director David Fincher, Producer Jeff Silver and several actors such as Meghan Markle, Charlotte Rampling, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Kelsey Grammer, Ellen Page, James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Lena Headey, Henry Cavill and Luke Evans, to name a few.
All of these experiences have given Barbara a unique, and complete, understanding of the filmmaking craft.
