David Michael Ross made his feature film debut in the 2000 Summer
Blockbuster release, The Patriot. He attended an open audition and was
cast for a very small role which he was told would last approximately 5
days. On his second day of filming the producers put him in a scene
with Mel Gibson, Jason Isaccs, and Heath Ledger which was a very
pivotal scene in the film and as result worked consistently
for four months. After "The Patriot", and under the advice of Mel Gibson to write, and develop content, Ross continued acting small in roles in studio and independent films, and eventually went on to write and produce several films. He is a partner at Tranquil Bay Entertainment, and the recently formed Skyfield Entertainment with Tommy Kelly and Matthew Ashford with a slate of film and television projects in various stages. He has been hired as a consultant, and writer on many industry films. In addition, Mr. Ross has numerous feature screenplays, and was hired to write an additional eleven. Mr. Ross bought the screen rights to a novel that featured his grandfather, Chicago Whitesox Pitcher, Lee "Buck" Ross and successfully optioned it to a Los Angeles based Production company. Under he and partners Matthew Ashford, and Tommy Kelly's Production Banner Skyfield, they are developing new and original content for both television and feature film. Most recently he wrote, produced, and co-directed "Spirit" a horror/thriller co-starring his producing partner 4 time Emmy winning actor Matthew Ashford, Julia Denton, and Tommy Kelly. Under the new banner they have two newly completed films and are nearing production on their next feature as well as a television series. During this period he has partnered with Emmy winning actor Darin Brooks writing and producing and the two have completed two new scripts together for 2023 and 24. He is a writer an producer on the upcoming film "Runaway".
