New York City theater and improv actress, Laura Napoli, first made a
name for herself in Los Angeles in the video game world, doing motion
capture and voice over for companies including: Capcom, Sony, and
Square Enix.
Laura was born and raised right outside of New York City in Englewood, NJ. She began her performance career in dance and as a teenager became a company member of Bergen Dance Theater where she was featured in soloist roles in such ballets as A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Nutcracker, and Paquita. Next, her dancing expertise brought her to the realm of musical theatre where she worked as both performer and choreographer-credits include-West Side Story, The Fantasticks, Annie, Hello Dolly!
She attended Barnard College, Columbia University and earned her BA cum laude in English while serving as team captain for the Barnard/Columbia Varsity Fencing Team and competing on their first ever women's sabre squad (NCAA Division One finalist). During college, she furthered her sword fighting abilities by getting extensive training in stage combat techniques, including: unarmed, rapier & dagger, broadsword, and quarterstaff.
Upon graduation, she was on the stage combat faculty for The Public Theater, the Stella Adler Studio, and the NYU and Columbia MFA acting programs. She was also a resident artist at both The Lady Cavalier Theatre Company in NYC and The Growing Stage in NJ and was appearing with the political satire group, Gross National Product, Off-Broadway and throughout the Northeast.
A physical performer, she has spent the last six years playing Sarah Connor and Kimberley Duncan in Universal's live-action stunt show Terminator 2: 3D.
More recently, she added writer/producer to her versatile resume with the viral success of the biting political satire "Legitimate Rape" Pharmaceutical Ad (TW), which lead to a partnership with the Official Comedy channel.
Other recent credits: Joe's Crab Shack National commercial (2 years of airing), Excedrin Internet commercial (award winning), Zombie Family web series (released on Funny or Die), theatrical hit Stoneface (re-opening at the Pasadena Playhouse), member of the Grammy-nominated rock/sketch group, The Incredible Dollface, and company member at Sacred Fools Theater Company.
