Philip Sayer was born on 26 October 1946 in Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales, UK. He was an actor, known for The Hunger (1983), Bluebell (1986) and Slayground (1983). He died on 19 September 1989 in London, England, UK.
He acted in Ira Levin's play, "Deathtrap," at the Garrick Theatre in London, England with Denis Quilley OBE, Rosemary McHale, and David Healy in the cast. Michael Blakemore OBE was director.
Brian May, of Queen, wrote the song "Just One Life" after attending a
memorial service for Sayer and, never having met the man when he was
alive, was affected by the stories everyone had about him. The song
appears on May's 1992 album "Back To The Light" and in the liner notes
is "Dedicated to Philip Sayer".
