The hype is building for the return of Ranma 1/2 , Rumiko Takahashi's classic rom-com. Much of the cast from the 1989 anime adaptation will be returning, but today we're getting some fresh blood. Five modern voice actors step into five classic roles! First up is Tatewaki Kuno, the kendo-loving second year who hates Ranma Saotome but has a crush on a certain pigtailed girl. Kuno will now be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Skeptic in My Hero Academia ). Earlier today we got the anticipated info dump for the new Ranma 1/2 anime, with Mappa producing the latest take on the Rumiko Takahashi classic. The series premieres this October, but those who want to catch it early will be able to do so next month thanks to a world premiere at Anime NYC. Anime NYC has teamed up with Viz Media and Hot Topic for the special screening, which is set to take place on August 24, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
