Magdalena Mielcarz

Magdalena Mielcarz was born on March 3, 1978 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1997
she graduated from the Jaroslaw Dabrowski High School in Warsaw and a
year later she started studies at the Department of Journalism and
Political Science at the University of Warsaw. She debuted as an
actress in 1989, playing queen Jadwiga in "Paziowie", a TV mini-series
for children directed by
Grzegorz Warchol. Later for several
years she belonged to the popular youth stage ensemble Gaweda (in
English: the Tale). She has worked for several years as a model,
originally for the Model Plus agency, and more recently for the Eastern
Models agency (in Warsaw) and Wilhelmina Models (in the New York city).
She has taken part in photo shoots for leading Polish magazines ("Twój
Styl", "Elle", "Cosmopolitan", "Pani", "Uroda", "Max"). She has worked
for Valentino and Cerruti, and since February 2001 is the face of
L'Oréal cosmetics (as the first Polish woman). Now she is a member of
jury in the TVN reality television show "Poland's Next Top Model".
