Tanya Henley is an actor, comedian, writer and producer who lives in
Los Angeles. While studying at the University of Toronto she trained
with The Second City Toronto. She also attended the American Academy of
Dramatic Arts in New York City and began performing stand-up comedy.
She has performed at high profile comedy clubs in New York and Los
Angeles including Stand-up NY, The Comedy Store and the Hollywood
Improv. In television and film projects she has performed alongside
Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Gena Rowlands. In 1996 she formed Tapas
Films with filmmaker Paula Tiberius. She co-wrote, starred and produced
Killing Time and produced Busk both successful shorts playing in
various film festivals and were broadcast on television. Tanya
co-produced Paula Tiberius' feature film debut, Goldirocks, with the
participation of Telefilm Canada, Showcase Television, The Movie
Network and Movie Central. Tanya continues to perform stand-up and has
several television and film projects in development.
