Although she’s been the star of such classics as “Boogie Nights,” “Drugstore Cowboy” and “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” Heather Graham has rarely delved into serious dramatic roles -– and she’s rarely been as hot as she is now, with “The Hangover” riding high at the box office. When we spoke with her recently, the blonde bombshell revealed plans to get gritty with a fact-based biopic about a lovestruck prisoner of war.
“I’m doing this movie about this Russian actress named Zoya Fyodorova,” the “Hangover” star revealed. “It’s a true story; she lived during World War II, she fell in love with this American officer. It was the time of Stalin, and if they thought you were talking to someone that wasn’t Russian, they could throw you into jail for twenty years. She was in jail for eight years.”
