- He got interested in martial arts after watching the likes of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. He began training mainly in Tae Kwon Do, but also did some Karate, Kickboxing and Hung Gar Kung Fu. After that, Kali / Filipino Martial Arts became his main focus for over 2 decades. But he also trained in Pikiti Tersia, Capoeira, Muay Boran, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Jeet Kune Do, Yang Style Tai Chi Jianfa and more.
- Was a competitive bodybuilder, very flexible and fast for his size (250lbs at the time).
- Has a passion for diving and underwater photography.
