- Robert Deman was born on November 1, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is an actor, known for Papillon (1973), The Four Deuces (1975) and Jud (1971).
- Best known as playing Maturette in Papillon (1973). He's a prisoner who escapes with title character Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. Deman's character is homosexual, and the performance is groundbreaking as he's portrayed as being equally strong and brave as the others, without the usual gay-stereotypes/mannerisms, common in the era.
- For a while he worked as a scenic designer for UCLA Music Theatre. He also provided looping/dubbing for ADR companies. But as of 2022 he has not been in front of the camera since the 1970s.
