Caleb Carr was born in Manhattan and continues to reside in the Lower
East Side. He attended Kenyon College and then subsequently New York
University where he earned his B.A. degree in history. In addition to
being the author of novels such as the bestselling The Alienist, he
contributes on military and political affairs.
