Ancient Aliens is an American television series that premiered on April 20, 2010 on the History channel. Produced by Prometheus Entertainment, the program presents hypotheses of ancient astronauts and proposes that historical texts, archaeology and legends contain evidence of past human-extraterrestrial contact. The series' pilot was a TV special of the same name that aired on March 8, 2009. The second season began on October 28, 2010, and the third season began airing July 28, 2011. Season four premiered on February 17, 2012 but on H2 instead of the History channel. In June 2012, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos announced on Coast to Coast AM that the series has been renewed for a fifth season. Season 5 premiered on December 21, 2012.

Ancient Mysteries is a television series originally broadcast on A&E between 1994 and 1998 with reruns airing until 2000. Reruns were also re-broadcast on The Biography Channel during the 2000s. The series deals with historical mysteries and is mostly hosted by Leonard Nimoy (unless otherwise noted) which recalls the late-1970s TV Series "In Search Of." As of December 2011, some episodes of this series were available on Netflix instant streaming.

Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction is a television anthology series created by Lynn Lehmann, presented by Dick Clark Productions, and produced and aired by the Fox network from 1997 to 2002. The series interviews various celebrities who have witnessed paranormal events at certain points in their lives. A spin-off, The Haunting Of, features footage from this series as celebrities go back to the places of their haunted experiences and find out the truth behind the haunting. The Show features personal, first-person accounts by notable actors, musicians and models. Celebrity Ghost Stories delivers a compelling, surprising and downright chilling look into the world of the paranormal by those who believe they have experienced the other side.

The show consists of five celebrity participants who are taken to a reported haunted location during the night and left until sunrise with the task of identifying paranormal activity. Upon arrival they are given a brief history of the location as well as other background information on past ghost sightings. The celebrities are left with specialist equipment such as infrared cameras and EMF meters. Surveillance cameras are set up all around to record what happens in the building that is to be investigated.

Edward receives images and clues from the Other Side which the audience must assist him in interpreting. Encounters: The Hidden Truth was an hour-long TV series that featured real-life stories of paranormal phenomena. The format featured a host (John Marshall) and a team of reporters presenting 3 or 4 stories per episode dealing with UFOs, crop circles, exorcism, prophets, psychics, reincarnation, and other supernatural phenomena, in a news/documentary style. The stories unfolded through witness interviews and reenactments of the events. The host and reporters discussed their reactions to some of the stories.
