In the winter of 1942/1943, a series of not-so-well known, yet bloody battles occurred near the town of Rzhev. Those battles received the name of 'Rzhev Meat Grinder'. The film is based on the award-winning novel by Vyacheslav Kondratyev.

The detective officers of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Komendantsky district of St. Petersburg, Leonid Lavrov and Yuriy Romanov, are complete opposites of each other. Romanov is an exemplary family man and athlete. Lavrov is a ladies man, a regular at the city's hottest places. Each of their meetings ends in a heated argument.

December 2020. Former police officer Grisha Dmitriev arrives in the Central African Republic with a small group of Russian instructors. Grisha's assignment does not seem complicated, because the instructors' tasks are only to teach the local army soldiers the basics of tactics and methods of fighting. However, everything goes wrong from the start. Several bandit groups march on the capital to stage a coup d'Start in the country. Russian instructors together with their charges fight back against the bandits. But for Grisha, who has never taken part in military operations, this business trip turns into a living hell.

Police Captain Pavel Semyonov is used to arresting drunks and drug addicts. He knows that if he thinks and reasons, he will simply be killed. He really wants to stay alive, because his wife Yulia and son Sasha are waiting for him at home.

Viktor Rastorguev, a rising colonel of the Moscow police, finds himself at the center of a scandal: one evening, while defending a girl, Rastorguev gets into a fight and uses his service weapon. Rastorguev's friend, USB Colonel Lykov, helps Viktor and persuades his superiors to keep Rastorguev in the service. At the same time, former operational investigator Dmitry Ryzhov, who had served time in prison for abuse of authority, and police captain Arina Gordeeva were arriving in St. Petersburg. Ryzhov got a job in Zhilkomservis in order to earn money, drive his emergency car in his native district and no longer have anything to do with the police. Gordeeva becomes a precinct of the same region. In it, businessman Veniamin Voronov is in charge of everything - he is Venya Voron. Under his "patronage" almost all the hot spots and many enterprises that are covered for a considerable portion by the local district captain Teltsov. Honest and principled Gordeeva refuses to put up with the current state of affairs in the microdistrict and engages in an implacable fight against local crime and corrupt officials. In this, Dmitry Ryzhov helps her. He also does not tolerate injustice, and he also likes Captain Gordeeva. But she is in no hurry to reciprocate .

Year 1983. Yulya Morozova studies foreign languages at the University of Leningrad, plays sports and does not even imagine that in the very near future she will have to work in the KGB.

The series concerns the everyday lives of the operatives of the "murder" department of the Petrovsky District Department of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg.

Oleg Rubtsov cannot stay in one place for a long time and is forced to constantly move. It's all about his past. He is an employee of the secret unit 0-18, his call sign is Pilgrim. The group took on complex and delicate cases when ordinary law enforcement agencies were powerless: it dealt with the elimination of organized crime groups, gangs and terrorists. Suddenly, all members of the secret unit are exposed - the "mole" helped get the personal files of all employees. Most of Rubtsov's colleagues die. The pilgrim manages to save himself and hide his wife. Now you need to understand who the traitor is and how to live further.

So, Doronin will have to take care of the peace of the village residents, become a real father not only to his own, but also to someone else's child, and also enter into an unequal battle with a major official for the love of a local beauty.

Lieutenant Colonel Soshnikov and Captain Muravyov are two different characters, two different fates, who are destined to meet at the Khmeimim military base.

Yuri Bragin, after a year-long business trip, where he, as part of an investigation team, was investigating a high-profile case, returns to St. Petersburg. When he returns, he learns that the current head of the First Investigation Department of the First Directorate of the State Investigation Department, Vadim Maltsev, is retiring. This time in one of the cities of the Leningrad region, where two girls were killed with a difference of a week. Here, in a small town, everyone knows each other, and this complicates the search for the criminal.

In a remote village in a distant forest stands a church. Father Aleksiy serves in it, as well as a servant - Demidov - a strange man, physically very strong, not yet old, withdrawn, silent, unsociable. The only person with whom he communicates is Father Aleksiy and his wife Olga. It turns out that Demidov is a former internationalist warrior, he already had to kill more than once. Now he is tormented by an insoluble question for himself: to forgive himself, to forget everything that he saw and experienced in the war, or was it all a terrible sin.

Special forces soldier Aleksandr Volkov left military service for the sake of his beloved wife Alyona and serving God. But the new bright path is darkened by the tragic death of Alyona, after which only the Orthodox faith helps Volkov live. Having received a church parish in his hometown, Father Aleksandr becomes a reliable support for parishioners, not only from a spiritual point of view.

2003 Catherine and George Gauthier live in Washington. Catherine works in her small photography studio, George teaches at Georgetown University. They look like an ordinary family, but in fact they are agents of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Vera Sviblova and Anton Vyazin. In the US, they are collecting data on the secret "Zone of Influence" plan to destroy the Russian economy.

To solve particularly complex crimes in St. Petersburg, a secret special department is being formed - under the guise of the Blondes marriage agency. The unit is supervised by experienced investigator Smolov, who has gathered three completely different girls under his wing. This is a former employee of the Investigative Committee - the rational Kiseleva, the bright and daring lover of horoscopes and men Gorskaya and the uncompromising Boyko, who is skilled in martial arts. Together they will not only have to catch criminals, but also learn to work as a team.

Andrey Klimov, an investigator of the Investigative Committee, refuses lucrative offers of work in private companies or career advancement, since he considers his goal not to be routine "paper" work as a corrupt official, but to serve the highest ideals: the triumph of justice, exposure of criminals, regardless of their financial well-being and position in society. Knowing the laws clearly and demanding their strict implementation, he does not make concessions even to the most influential and wealthy people of the city.

1944. A sabotage group led by Captain Sergey Tumanov returns from behind the front line after completing an important task. In order to break away from the pursuit, Tumanov makes the difficult decision to get rid of two captured German officers - otherwise the lives of his people will be in danger. Later, for this decision, Tumanov is arrested by NKVD officers, but the experienced saboteur manages to escape.
