.@grunfink@comam.es Me and @pancake@lolcathost.org have been thinking on a fault-tolerant setup for snac2: Think 3 machines/instances in different continents in a LB configuration and also sync'ing the data between them.

How would you replicate the underlying data store between those 3 instances without running into corruption issues on the fs level?

Thanks for those settings, they make sense!... perhaps I'd go for 1-2 weeks of timeline retention though, 3 days is a bit too agressive?

@pancake@infosec.exchange Snac2 does not have a DB backend, it's based on hard linked files and MD5 sums, afaict from the source code :)

Looks like snac works well from ElkZone too. Proabbly a much better experience :D

Can I toot with curl in #snac2 instances? can't find where to generate api keys in the admin page

Snac instance works from Tuba (Gnome) and ElkZone (webclient) but fails on Ivory or Mammoth (iOS apps). Some features like profile settings, searching profiles and following accounts only work from the native interface, which is sad, but it pays off considering the resources needed to run the instance. More testing reviews coming soon ;D

Yay! It works, nevermind the domain name, I'll eventually host it in @nopcode.org proper (or similar, probably fedi.nopcode.org) when we're happy with how snac performs and scales (we'll have to optimise CDN/caching/bandwidth and storage to the max).

This is just a test with this hilarious domain name registered by @pancake@lolcathost.org a long time ago.
