ICCup TV League

About[edit]

The iCCup TV League (ITL) began as a weekly invitational tournament held by iCCup TV. The ITL was started by iCCup.Diamond and is the first StarCraft II beta singles league. It is also the only true league, rather than a weekly tournament. ITL consists of the top players in StarCraft II. The league is run on the US server, with EU and Asia players able to participate on ITL guest accounts. ITL 3 marked the end of the tournament format and ITL now consists of several showmatches featuring pros and upcoming players. Every ITL consists of an ITL Championship, a Main Event and several Main Cards. ITL 8 reintroduced the ITL Championship after it was halted on ITL 5.

ITL Showdowns have the same format as normal ITL matches, the only difference is that the championship isn't on the line.

Format[edit]

Each week, several pros and upcoming players are invited to play in showmatches on ITL. Every ITL features an ITL Championship match, a Main Event match, and several Main Card matches. The winner of the ITL Championship match usually plays in the following ITL Championship to defend their title. The maps for each match is chosen before the tournament. Each match is usually a best-of-3.
