I had such an amazing experience at The Mudd House! The space is welcoming, inspiring, and beautifully set up for both beginners and more experienced potters. The instructors are not only incredibly talented but also patient, encouraging, and great at breaking things down step by step. I felt supported the entire time and left with pieces I’m really proud of. It’s the perfect mix of creative, fun, and relaxing. I can’t wait to come back for another class and would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to try pottery or deepen their skills.

I had such an amazing time at Mudd House! The studio is warm, welcoming, and full of creative energy. My instructor, Miles, was absolutely fantastic — incredibly skilled on the wheel, patient, and great at explaining techniques in a way that just clicks. He made the whole experience fun, relaxed, and inspiring. I can’t recommend Mudd House — and especially Miles — enough!

Genuinely one of the funnest, most peaceful, good energy places in all of north county by far! Watching mudd house grow into such a defining part of the community in Leucadia/Encinitas has been amazing and so lucky to call everyone in there my close friends! The second you walk in you’re greeted with amazing vibes that make you want to keep coming back nonstop!! Everybody always talks about “third spaces” and how there’s not enough of them around town to just go have a great time with friends and the icing on the cake is working on an amazing craft that you build yourself!! Pottery is such an in depth, skilled craft that really seems to give you what you give it- you see all your hand movements and how it affects your piece in real time, and allows you to learn so fast because it’s immediate results! Brings me so much happiness every time I’m there, and the whole crew of muddhouse just makes the vibes 100000% better!!! Now get over there and start throwing!!!

This is my favorite studio in San Diego! I love the environment and also appreciate that they offer open studio.

What a wonderful place.  I signed up for a private pottery throwing class. The instructor was absolutely fantastic and took their time explaining everything and doing demos.  If you want to get into pottery this is the place to go to.  I look forward to attending more classes.
