Daniel M. Brinks

Daniel Brinks is a professor of Government and Law and the chair of UT Austin's Government Department. His research focuses on the role of law and courts in human rights and democracy, with a primary interest in Latin America. Professor Brinks has authored several books, including "The DNA of Constitutional Justice in Latin America," which won the 2018 C. Herman Pritchett Award. He teaches courses in Comparative Politics, Comparative Law, Democracy, and Latin American Politics.
