The back cover also has things I love. I kept it black and white except for the edges and included ballet, Einstein, James Dean, The Godfather, my love affair with the Brooklyn Bridge, Peter Sellers, The Three Stooges, Alfred Hitchcock, earth rising over the moon, deep space and a UFO, because we are not alone. I added gold and red glitter to the two ballet dancers as trim on their tutu and hair ornaments.
I placed a piece of cardboard to show where the pocket is since its hard to see otherwise.
The same page, I moved the ribbon to give the page a better view. You can see the fine art I incorporated and a woman smoking a huge joint. This is a smoking page, if you look close you will see almost everyone is smoking. I also added an opened sided pocket. I used antique gold string to tie it together on the left corner.
Inside back cover is my favorite page. It has everything I love. Jack Nicholson, Salvidor Dali, my cat Tango who recently passed, Canal Street subway station and wildlife animals. On this journal I added an antique ribbon to use as a bookmark.
An enlarged section of the page. I painted the dancers dress and fan in different colors of glitter. I added the chimp because of its Irony with the news paper he is holding.
This is the flip side of the last page. Being my personal Journal, it is comprised of my likes, my interests and pieces of my life. This page with his approval is dedicated to my second X husband. He was a rock singer who won a Grammy in 1959.I incorporated two of his album covers at the top.
This section of the page I highlighted a pair of Apache Dancers of Paris. The dance was choreographed with the male abusing the female dancer. Was common for her to be thrown across the floor and dragged across the floor by her hair. In the end she bows in submission to the male dancer for forgiveness to be taken back. It was brutal, abusive, violent, humiliating, degrading behavior to the female dancer, that became the rage of Paris at the Moulin Rouge.
The back side of the center right page.
Another view of the opened book laying flat before paper is added.
