Aussie native Brody Dalle of the LA punk band The Distillers. Formed in 1998 by Brody -- with her distinctively harsh singing voice -- they broke up in 2006. Although there were significant line-up changes over the years, it was Brody who played guitar, sang, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on the band's three albums.

Back in college, Smith became a muse for Frank Stefanko after she caught his eye in a co-op in South Jersey by "mosey[ing] in like the bad guy walking into a saloon in an old Western movie," as he recalls.
