Peacock revolution

Esquire Magazine declared what they called the 'Peacock Revolution' in men's clothing towards the end of the '60s. Men began to wear incredibly bright colors and prints, a sharp turnaround from the drab blacks, grays, browns and blues of earlier times.

The prints displayed on these suits are indicative of the peacock revolution of the 1960s. The flare trousers on the right are also part of this era. Displayed at the gender bending exhibit at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
