| Abstract: | Major sculptor of the Romantic era, David d'Angers (1788-1856) drew tirelessly throughout his life. Most of his graphic work is preserved in the museums of Angers, through successive contributions made after the death of the artist, his widow and children. This book provides insight into the role of drawing in the genesis of the work of David and gave some to discover leaves, published or discussed here for the first time.
