| Abstract: | Corpus plastic of Our Lady of Antigua in Seville is a true reflection of the political, spiritual and cultural dimension of the Spanish monarchy, and in turn one of the axes that led to the construction of identity and belonging to a territory. This legacy is kept alive in cathedrals and other church and secular Latin American campuses. Timely oil study of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico accounts for special worship and the canons given sector of colonial society paid him a devotion that is part of the historical memory, religion, art and culture in the Hispanic world. How and what does the Great Lady of Antigua? Who and what drove this cult? What were the mechanisms that coalesced his devotees?
