Two antique Victorian nickel silver watch chains have found a life together--connected by their clasps to make one necklace. The different designs of the chains are highly complementary to each other and additional charms can easily be connected. Depending on where the clasps are connected, two possibilities for necklace length are 22 1/2" or 19" but the fun of this concept is the way you can play with it and make different connections--such as wrapping it around a wrist for a bracelet. The chains are unmarked and believed to be nickel silver--an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc that contains no actual silver. One chain has two sliders with enamel decoration.
