Urchin art

Colobocentrotus atratus, the helmet urchin or shingle urchin, is a species of sea urchin in the family Echinometridae. In Hawaii it is known as 'kaupali' which translates as 'cliff-clinging'. It is found on wave-swept intertidal shores in the Indo-West Pacific, particularly on the shores of Hawaii. The little sea urchin on top is quite unusual. It was discovered by a research vessel near New Caledonia at a depth of 1000 ft.

How do Sea Urchins, regardless of how far you throw them away from the shallow end, always find their way back to the same spot with incredible speed? Maybe there are more than one. Maybe I should also re-hydrate more when I'm on the beach.
