22K views · 151 reactions | We’re starting to crack out some Valentine’s content now! Love how much themed play you can do around this day! . I’m always looking for ways to make play recipes taste-safe and this beetroot powder works a treat to make cloud dough a lovely pink shade for Valentine’s Day! . To make this Valentine’s Day cloud dough you will need: . 4 cups of flour 1/2 cup of oil 1 heaped teaspoon of beetroot powder . To make this cloud dough taste safe it is important that you first bake the flour to ensure any bacteria present is killed. Spread it thinly on a baking tray and heat in the oven at 180C/350F for 10 minutes. Remember, even in taste-safe play children should be discouraged from eating it- it just means that if they do, you know it won’t do them any harm. ☺️ . Once cool add the flour to the tray, along with the beetroot powder and oil. Use your fingers to rub the ingredients together. . Supplies that work well with this are cake cases, cookie cutters, loose parts (we used some plastic hearts) and the Inspire My Play tools. . To preserve your cloud dough, store it in an airtight container. . Find out more about the PlayTRAY and our other sensory play products on our website www.inspiremyplay.com. . ⚠️ Safety info- please ensure the loose parts are suitable for the age of children playing. . . #sensoryplayideas #earlyyears #inspiremyplay #inspiremyplaytray #messyplay #valentinesdayplay | Inspire My Play
