I came over partly because I'm curious to see what, if anything, they're doing with the LJ code apart from getting rid of the "friendslist" terminology.
Poking and waiting to see if they do anything really awesome. Also, considering importing my LJ as a semi-functional "backup."
Also, I was a late adopter for Gmail and still don't use it extensively, and I think that if I had adopted it early enough and integrated it into my world better, it would have some advantages (and perhaps I'd be familiar enough with it to know more about its specific powers). I'm about to try to overcome these problems with IMAP, but that experience made me think that there was something to be said for the ability to poke at something whenever you want :)
