Never thought a reverse fighter would be a rhythm game. Could have used a bit more polish in my opinion
Nice game, it's just like a rhythm game, but the relationship between music and the game is a bit weak. And I love the art.
Cool idea! Though I think it could benefit the gameplay it if you'll add some rhythm elements.
Nice little game with a good concept. I wish there was more in terms of game play here. Perhaps charge up moves or counting someone out. Making actual calls on the fight. Hitting the buttons right on feels great though with the words popping up and the audio feedback. Good job for 48hrs.
Great game, I really like pixel art so I like the art style of the game.
I feel like the game just needs a little bit more juice to it, more sounds, more exploding texts flying on the screen, maybe add some interesting stuff to the line and the white dots, because I spent all the time looking down there and not on the actual characters, or maybe just move the line closer to the characters so I have time to look at them. I enjoyed it though and that's what matters, good job!
Nice concept and great art style!!
It would be great to have the commentator's voice as well, maybe pixelated. It would juice up the gameplay. maybe some combo that would raise on perfect moves, and changes the course of the gameplay making the audience and players play more violently, speeding up the pace of the game to press the keys and time them faster.
The feedback time and effects are amazing. Great take on the theme!!
nice art style. But you can try to make more special actions during the process. simple click on mouse is a little boring.
nice pixel art, the feedback is great!
Thanks for your appreciation!
Its a really cool idea, and a really creative entry for the theme. It would be cool to see more varied patterns, like combos or super movers. Overall awesome job!
Thanks for playing. Combos and super moves, that would've been awesome! We were thinking about remote attacks, like a Hadouken, but yeah ... time ran out.
Nice idea, and the hit effects are so rewarding
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed it.
I really like the idea you went with on this one. Its a super creative take.
The game itself runs smoothly, and the little graphics for the people are super cute and effective.
It was pretty easy to land a perfect every time, perhaps there should be a bit more variance in the "notes" that come alone. Also I agree with the other comment, would've loved more juice on attacks being landed.
Well done.
PS Great to see another Godot 4 user :)
First of: Godot is awesome. Really liking the 4th iteration. But I'm only sad to discover that the web-builds have issues for MacOS-users ...
Nice to hear you liked our idea - appreciate it a lot.
Perfect hitting was maybe too easy and we thought of having the player getting "punished" when not hitting it right - but we ran out of time to actually make it.
I know, the MacOS issues are a real bummer. I had to put the same disclaimer in my text as well.
Hopefully they sort the issues out soon.
Good concept and cute graphics, but could do with bigger, badder sound effects. Either way, well done!
Thanks for your comment. I guess it would've been better if there was a better balance between the visual and sound effects, making them more over the top. But finding that balance is tricky ... and we ran out of time :D
This game has a really clever idea and premise. The simple art and music suit it really well!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed playing.
