A dramatic and eye-catching evening gown/Chinese wedding dress from the 1980s. The dress is made from a dark red/burgundy velvet fabric and hand embroidered with circular and tubular gold beads and gold sequins. It has little capped sleeves and a 19"/48 cm hidden back zip. Although the size label indicates an M, this is probably an XS. Measurements are taken flat and doubled where appropriate. Bust 33.5"/85 cm Waist 26"/66 cm Hips 36"/91.5 cm Back to waist 14"/35.5 cm Back length 52.5"/133.5 cm Side slit 28.5"/72.5 cm Back zip 19"/48 cm Overall the dress and lining are in very good condition. Initially the velvet was creased but after steaming most of this has come out. There are some areas that have bruising from the beads. I was a little timid with steaming too much as I have only just got the steamer and wanted to err on the side of caution.
