My 1 Year Loc Journey + Why I Combed Them Out

On June 12, 2020, I installed starter locs on my natural hair by doing two strand twists. And, on May 29, 2021, I combed them out! The last time I wrote a post about my loc journey was at the 3 month mark, so this update is well overdue! So, here are all of the details and pictures of my 1 year loc journey and why I ended up combing them out. #locs #locjourney

I definitely wouldn’t go back to my loose natural hair journey as this journey has been so beautiful, simple, fulfilling, and meaningful to me. @stylesbyelke started my Locs at @naturaltrendsetters hair salon. The method we used is the Comb Coil method. I asked for medium sized locs and she got all 81 locs right for me!! She did an amazing job and I’m truly grateful!! They came out perfect!! I knew that they would blossom in the way they needed too!! Before I started my locs, I was on my Natural Hair Journey for a little over 3 years, which is why I ended up starting my Locs with longer hair.
