Can store this Chutney in Fridge for 1 week. 1.3M views · 1.6K reactions | SAVE and TRY 👍🏻 ONE POT ONION SAMBAR SADAM 1 cup = 100 ml cup 2 cup toor dal 2 cup rice Wash both 4-5 times and soak them in 6 cup hot water for 20 mins Soak lemon size tamarind in 4 cup warm water and extract juice. Chop 3 onions and 1-2 tomatoes. Heat a cooker with 1-2 tbsp oil, add 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp mustard seeds. Once the mustard splutters, add asafoetida, curry leaves, inion, tomato, turmeric powder, 4 tsp sambar powder( adjust) , salt and mix well. Let it cook for 3-4 mins. Add the tamarind water and let it cook for 6-7 mins. Set aside a few ladles of sambar. Add the soaked ricedal mix along with water. Add 1-2 cup water( adjust) , coriander leaves( optional) , a tsp of ghee or oil and pressure cook on low for 6 whistles and switch off. Once pressure releases, mix the sambar sadam well. Taste for salt. If more salt ( or spice is required) , add it to the reserved sambar, and pour it into the sadam , mix and serve. Tastes heavenly. You are sure to receive loads of compliments.
