coaching staff Mark Mason, Manager Mark Mason enters his sixth season at the helm of the York Revolution in 2018 and 30th year as a coach or manager at either the collegiate or professional level. With 351 victories through his first five years, Mason is the winningest manager in Revolution history. The longest-tenured manager in club history, Mason also enters his ninth overall season on the staff in 2018, matching Enohel Polanco for longest-tenured staff member in club history. The two have been part of 572 combined victories. Mason’s promotion to manager was announced on September 4, 2012, following a highly successful three-year tenure as the club’s pitching coach. Mason orchestrated a dramatic midseason turnaround in 2017, guiding the Revolution to a second half division title and a 6-1 postseason record en route to winning the franchise’s third Atlantic League championship and first since 2011. The 6-1 run through the playoffs established the best postseason mark in Revolution history. Once again fielding arguably the league’s most exciting team, Mason built an offense that paced the circuit with 139 home runs. Mason guided the Revolution to a 76-win season in 2016, the franchise’s third-highest win total alltime. It included a personal milestone for Mason, who tied his predecessor Andy Etchebarren for the franchise’s all-time wins record with his 237th victory on June 16, 2016, in a 5-3 win at Somerset, and surpassed “Etch” with win number 238 the following night, June 17, 2016, in a 6-4 home win vs. Bridgeport. His squad was known for its never-say-die approach, pulling off an incredible team-record 44 come-from-behind victories, eight more than the previous high, including 15 victories when trailing heading to the late innings. Mason also pushed the right buttons in close games, as his team went 4328 in games decided by two runs or fewer and 15-4 in one-run games at home. Overall, York’s home field advantage was the Atlantic League’s best with a 43-27 mark at PeoplesBank Park. Offensively, York bashed 133 home runs, their highest total in four years and the second-highest total in the league. Since Mason’s arrival in 2010, the Revs have had 25 players signed in-season by Major League organizations, 14 of whom have come from Mason’s pitching staffs. Seven of those pitchers and eight total players have made it to the Major Leagues. As a player, Mason pitched in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, ascending as high as Double-A Lynn (MA) of the Eastern League. “Mase” also pitched at Waynesburg (Pa.) College, which is now Waynesburg University.

Paul Fletcher, Pitching Coach Paul Fletcher enters his fifth season as pitching coach with the York Revolution in 2018, the longest-tenured pitching coach in Revs history. In 2014, the Revs rolled out their best season as a unit in franchise history. Compiling the second most wins (78) in a season in club history, Fletcher’s staff set a club record for team ERA with a 3.44 mark that also ranked second lowest in the league. The 2014 staff also set club records for fewest hits and walks allowed in a season, lowest opponents average (.254), and for most saves (42) in a season. Three pitchers from Fletcher’s record-setting staff signed with Major League organizations during the 2014 season, while two others signed to pitch in top-level leagues overseas. Fletcher’s professional career began in 1992, when he was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 24th round of the Major League draft, after a decorated college career at the University of Tennessee where he was an all-SEC selection in 1991, breaking school records for wins, strikeouts, and innings pitched. After initially breaking into the pro ranks in the Royals farm system, the left-hander pitched for Ohio Valley of the Frontier League, earning a contract from there with the Chicago White Sox organization. Fletcher later returned to the Frontier League where the former starter pitched for the Springfield Capitals as a closer to cap his five-year playing career, before making the transition to pitching coach with that team in 1997.
Enohel Polanco, Bench/Third Base Coach Enohel Polanco returns to the Revs for his ninth season on the staff, joining manager Mark Mason as the longest-tenured members of the baseball staff in franchise history. “Polo” made the transition from player to coach during the 2010 season, initially as the club’s first ever player-coach, holding both an active roster spot as an infielder as well as a spot on the coaching staff. During his time in York, he has played a major role both on the field as the team’s third base coach and behind the scenes in helping the club reach the postseason during six of his eight years. The 2010 and 2011 championships marked the first Atlantic League titles of Polanco’s career, before adding a third ring with the Revs in 2017. The 2018 season is his 16th in the league, and the Revs are his sixth Atlantic League team. A native of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Polanco began his professional career in 1995 when he signed with the New York Mets. His 14-year career as a player also took him to the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins, and Colorado Rockies farm systems, reaching the Triple-A level with Cleveland and Florida in 2000. In total, he played for 21 different clubs, including seven during the 2000 season alone. Polanco has also been instrumental in the Revolution’s player procurement efforts. 3

a word from the alpb Dear Fans: Welcome to PeoplesBank Park, home of the 2017 Atlantic League Champion York Revolution and one of the top ballparks in minor league baseball. We are honored you have chosen to visit the Revs as we celebrate the Atlantic League’s 21st Championship Season. Over the past decade the Revolution have consistently offered the White Rose City great baseball in an intimate, family-friendly environment – a great opportunity to bond with friends and loved ones. The team constantly strives to improve its ballclub and facilities, all to better serve York fans. Over two million guests will visit PeoplesBank Park and other Atlantic League venues this season. Through the years, we have welcomed over 38 million guests to Atlantic League games to follow some of the best players in the world. More than 900 Atlantic League alumni have joined MLB organizations and the League has sent nearly 150 of those players to the big leagues. Have you noticed Major League Baseball’s introduced pace of play initiatives this year? They were inspired by the actions of the Atlantic League and its players, which resulted in shorter average game times throughout our league. In addition to their extraordinary skill, we hope you note the hustle our players bring to the ballpark every day. Thank you for joining the Revs as they defend their Atlantic League championship. Without you, the Atlantic League would not be minor league baseball’s pre-eminent league. Please sit back, relax, and enjoy the Revolution. With kind regards,
Rick White, President

From the desk of... There’s a little something for everyone. Seemingly endless options of packages with unique customizations to fit your busy (or not so busy) lifestyle. Let me tell you a little about season ticket packages at PeoplesBank Park and what it means to be a season ticket holder. Full Season Ticket Packages guarantee you the same seat to every single game at PeoplesBank Park. Your seat – with options to brand that seat as Your Seat so the world will know (or at least everyone in the ballpark—or a passing drone). A typical season has 70 home games, but you also get free tickets to Fan Fest, playoffs, and—special for the 2019 season—the Atlantic League All-Star Game! You get free parking across the street from the ballpark, guaranteed giveaways, and so much more. We understand that 70 games can be a lot to commit to, so consider finding a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or mortal enemy to share the package with! Now for the customizations. You can take advantage of one of our suggested mini plans—10 games, 25 games, 35 games—OR pick a number between 10 and 69 and create a package that works for you. Maybe you’ll build a package that includes all of our weekend games or all of the firework nights, or Sundays and Wednesdays because those are the days that you have off work. You name it, we can build it. Mini plans perks include discounted parking, early admission, and discounts on extra tickets that you may need. You may have a fear of commitment and worry that if you purchase tickets in November to a game the following July it may interfere with a vacation that hasn’t been scheduled yet or a wedding that you haven’t been invited to yet. Fear not! You can simply exchange your tickets for a different game! Crisis averted! Maybe, for you, the idea of sitting in the same seat every game feels redundant. Or the idea of sitting for 9 innings makes your restless leg syndrome flare up. The newly introduced Ballpark Pass is the perfect fit for you. You’ll have admission to every single home game via a barcode on your smart phone. You can roam around the ballpark, take in the sights, chat with a friend, grab a brew. We’ll set up low monthly payments, and you’ll experience freedom like you’ve never experienced before! By joining this inclusive group of York Revolution season ticket holders, you’ll become a part of something big. You may build lifelong friendships like the Sipes and the Hambys. You may invent a slogan and become “that guy” like “hit the wall Don Kain.” You may find that your new group of Revs friends are looking out for you when you didn’t even know you needed help like Freed and Buck were able to do this year. You may find new dinner partners, new travel buddies, and a group to “woop, woo” with when the visiting team’s pitcher warms up. The best part (I may be biased) is the great group of representatives that you’ll have access to. Jordan, Zac, Bob, and I are here to answer (or find the answer to) your every question. Maybe your curious about how something works or why we do things a certain way. Maybe you have an idea of how something could be better or you’re eager to tell someone about a trip you just took or a car you just bought. Maybe you forgot something at the ballpark and you wonder if someone turned it in to Lost and Found. Maybe you can’t figure out how to get the Revs app working on your new smart phone. We’re just an email, a phone call, or a hop, skip, and jump away! Think about joining our team. And if you think of “what if” questions, just ask! Packages for the 2019 All-Star Season will be on sale soon!

Revolutionary times
This day in york baseball history Revs Time as we know it carries on a great legacy of baseball in York. In our recurring series, Revolutionary Times looks back at some of the pivotal moments from this time in previous seasons.
Aug. 14, 2009
Aug. 16, 2008
Aug. 18, 2017
Andy Etchebarren makes his managerial debut for the Revs after being introduced at a press conference earlier in the day. The Revs fall to the Ducks, 3-2.
Chris Ashby’s league-record hitting streak reaches 31 games on a firstinning infield single. Originally scored a hit, it was later changed to an error, before it was reversed back to a hit the following day.
Down to the Revs’ final out, Jared Mitchell cracks a game-winning 3-run HR, lifting the Revs to a dramatic 6-5 win at Sugar Land.
Aug. 14, 2012 Chris Nowak homers twice and drives in seven, and Ryan Feierabend strikes out 10 in a 9-1 victory on a weekday afternoon at Somerset.
Aug. 14, 2015 One night after ripping a game-winning three-run double in the 13th, Andres Perez totals six RBI, and takes over the Revs’ all-time RBI record while on the same swing, moving into sole possession of second on the home run (46) list in a 13-5 win at Bridgeport.
Aug. 15, 2008 The Revs run their winning streak to eight, winning 7-6 at Somerset. York scores six times in the seventh, highlighted by Jason Aspito’s two-out go-ahead grand slam. Chris Ashby extends his hitting streak to 30 with a sixth-inning double.
Aug. 19, 2008
The Revs open a three-game division lead, winning the rubber game at Somerset as Franklin Nunez strikes out Sean Smith with the tying run at third.
Jason Aspito drills another clutch home run, tying the game in the ninth. Matt Esquivel’s solo shot puts the Revs in front, and after Southern Maryland reties the game, Keoni DeRenne’s 10thinning single finally secures a wild 8-7 win in Waldorf.
Aug. 17, 2010
Aug. 19, 2017
Four-year-old Josiah Greene becomes the 1,000,000th fan through the gates at then Sovereign Bank Stadium on Mascot Night in York. The Revs rise to the occasion, as Corey Thurman allows just three hits in seven innings of a 4-1 win over Camden.
For the second straight night, the Revs erase a two-run deficit with two outs in the ninth, scoring three times to win 5-4 at Sugar Land. Alonzo Harris ties with a two-out single, and Alexi Casilla provides the game-winner with an RBI double.
Aug. 18, 2015
Aug. 20, 2011
The Revs score the winning run on a squeeze play in their last at-bat for the second time in less than a month, both at Southern Maryland. Wilson Valdez’ squeeze with one out in the 11th provides the winner in a 5-4 victory in 11 innings.
Shaun Garceau fires the second complete game shutout in Revolution history, blanking the Road Warriors 5-0. The righty strikes out nine and allows only four hits.
Aug. 17, 2008
Aug. 15, 2010
Aug. 18, 2016
Ian Bladergroen becomes the first in Revs history to hit three home runs in a game in an 18-9 win in Lancaster. “Blade” also walks three times and drives in six. Matt DeSalvo earns the victory in his Revolution debut. James Shanks comes within a triple of the cycle, also driving in six.
Mike DeMark sets the Revs’ career saves record with his 34th all-time and becomes the first to 30 in a season in a 2-0 win at Somerset.
Aug. 20, 2014 Tim Battle rips the first inside-the-park home run in Revs history, plating three runs to break a tie in the 6th in a 6-5 victory vs. Lancaster.
