Hope This Goes For Singapore Airlines, Too

Other I at least know what to ask for as alternative...

For T-Day just scroll down...

T STands For Tired

With this forest berries drink I join Elizabeth´s T.

The journal:

MondayFound an interesting site about our city, on Electrification it says: "As early as 1897, for example, the first electric tram ran from Augustplatz in Braunschweig to the district administration office in Wolfenbüttel."  - no wonder fate brought me there!
AI says the first one in Germany was in Berlin 1811 and came from...Siemens! That´s where I started with a train.
Here is another gem: "The development of a vertically launching rocket is Johannes Winkler's lasting achievement in the history of space travel." He did this in Braunschweig.

Tuesday: I feel sick. Oh, please nothing serious before the trip!

Wednesday: Still sick but a bit better. Nothing but surfing and watching series.

Thursday:  Better.  Still doing "nothing".

Friday:  Nearly good. Doing "nothing".

For River: our red kitchen:

In our old apartment it took her Daddy as long to spot the painting on the ceiling (Ingo has the best ideas, right?!!)

Weekend: Saturday: Good, apart from Rotz and now dry coughing, too, off to the pharmacy to get meds. Facebook´d a bit.
Trump praised  the Liberian leader for his good English and asked him where he learned that. It´s the national language in Liberia.
I sincerely hope that was an AI-joke.
Ingo saved the journey back from Frankfurt. Jippeee.
Sunday: Got up 04:30 cause Ingo complained I snore. Ya. With FAT Rotz - nose closed etc.
I remember I slept in the living room on a cot uncomfortable for weeks cause of his snoring but that is another story.
New neighbors ...stomping around.
Dentist tomorrow. There is nothing worse for me.

Ernie - Are You There?

Another Banksy-mural from the exhibit in Hanover we went to in January 2025.

AI says: "Banksy's 'Rubber Ducky' (or 'Duck and Shark') uses the innocent image of a child's bath toy with a hidden shark fin to critique consumerism, the corruption of innocence, and threats to childhood in a commercialized world."

With this I join Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

"These mathematicians changed the world

Euclid (325–265 BC)
Euclid, a Greek mathematician from Alexandria, is considered today to be the 'father of geometry', and many of his theorems are still used today."

Amazing, isn´t it? Sooooo long ago and in use still.

Have a good start to the week. Mine not so much. Dentist.

Some Watchies In The Art Room

Yuck, huh - so much snow. This is Küchenstraße/Fallersleber, Braunschweig.
And since we have the mat in front our living room door, for Ingo - music is art, too, yes?:

Since one day his Dad asked Ingo to describe how he does his life (just replace "did" with "do"):

Without music life would be a mistake:

Here sadly only the link.... Legend. Many join! (You might turn on the sound on FB, standard is off, it´s in the video top right on the left side - do not ask me...).

FFO - Fly To Mexico (Or Perth)

Let me start with something serious that was also in TV-news yesterday, they arrived:

Now for some other faces:

Atm I don´t have the nerve to sketch so these are the faces I join Nicole´s FFO with.
Funny side story: My Brother is a little crazy. He really left me alone with Niece when she was 3 years old.
I don´t have kids and hence no experience and didn´t know what to do. She wanted to play.
So we played we fly  to Perth. And when I said it´s a very long, boring flight she put herself to bed and fell asleep. At first she only pretended but then, LOL.

Now some funnies:

Frosty Is Gone (For Now)

Usually we have snow in late February/March...

Just because we´ll be gone then we get it now?! Poor King Frog is "gone"...

Doesn´t the top-right look like a sloth dangling it´s legs? And...

Who knew snow has humor?!
You would think in the land of the accurate Germans it is made sure you are safe. Hahaha, Nah. Instead of taking care of the roads they close schools!
Because...

And yet... Ingo braved up and drove to Salzgitter for work every day - unlike many a colleague! I had to cross the street on foot. Pavement not better:

Careful. Some of that is ice.

But, Yippeee, it warmed up, snow is gone!
fK said when Covid was here we had snow in January, too. Not THAT much, though.
Forecast is looking good, no minus-grades.

And please note: This is IN the city!!! Where it is warmer than in the country!
And Ingo braved up. And my heart... hoh, boy. Ingo is a very safe driver but others...
I drove 16 years to Wolfsburg, no matter the weather, too, and often....
Keep a huuuuge distance cause we don´t have much often and many think it´s... it´s.. I don´t know, do they think at all? Drive as if it was summer!

I used to say - I did not drive a car since 2018 - as long as on foot, I don´t care, but this was....
I had to hold on on poles and once on a parked car to not fall.

Glad it´s gone.

The new internet series (explanation see last post, if you like, it´s not only about math):

"These mathematicians changed the world

Thales of Miletus (626–548 BC)

Thales of Miletus, one of the most famous mathematicians of ancient Greece, used geometry to calculate the height of pyramids and to measure the distance of ships to the shore. He also discovered five geometric theorems."

 To Summer soon.
