Rare Late 1940's Couture Lachasse Suit

This is a good quality couture suit by Lachasse London. It was most likely made during the late 1940's. The piece has the same construction as a Hardy Aimes suit I own from the same period. It's made from wool which has purple and green tones. The jacket is three-buttoned with a nipped in waist. The two small pockets on the front of the jacket sit neatly on the waist. The skirt is pleated though the pleats have lost some of their crispness. It zips up at the side and has a small hook and eye closure. This piece is in good overall condition. Part of the hem has been resewn. I couldn't see any holes in the wool. The interior is lined in purple satin. There are marks around the neckline and also on the lining, please see photos. Some of the buttons are discoloured. These points don't detract from the piece. This is a lovely item that could be worn or added to a collection.
