Prothestic arm design

Created for CGWORLD vol.210.

This project is a quick prototype concept design we did. Some parts are part of a kitbash made by the legendary 3D Artist Vitaly Bulgarov. Modelled in 3dsmax, Zbrush and rendered and composite in Keyshot and Photoshop.

This was a project I helped 3D model at Weta Workshop in the 3D department. We had to build a hero prop costume "prosthetic" arm that was convincing but could be worn as a glove. Jack Taylor project managed myself, Edward Denton and Tarn Greenlaw to eventually 3D print components that the amazing team at Weta Workshop finalised into what you see here. Fun project and a great team :)
