The illustration Fire Tutorial , with the tags 炎, メイキング, tutorial, fire, Medibang, 炎の描き方 etc. is created by Somnvari . In ART street, the comment of Somnvari is The way I draw fire on Medibang~I'll probably make a new one

A project from 2018. Did a bunch of small snippets of the MTG world for their mobile card game. In most cases the artists concepted the characters as well as painted the illustrations at the same time. It is always fun to combine the two disciplines.

I am very honored to have been given this assignment to do and hope that everyone who bought the package containing the promo socks plus this card likes it :)

Worked on this over the weekend following GDC after being thoroughly inspired. I've included a time lapse of the painting because I intentionally wanted to just "make something" without any goal in mind. You can see the wild changes in direction which I think is a really fun way to work (when you can)! Concepting that I do for work tends to have a very specific goal, so I like to keep these weekend ones really, really loose.
