The process includes cleaning, sanding, filling, priming, fine sanding the primer, and many coats of lacquer fine sanded in between coats which is spray-booth applied . The finish is durable, hard and mirror-like. High-quality paint is used. Backs of pieces are never painted as the material used will not coat well unless it is solid wood or a dimensional piece that is intended to be shown . While I try my best to remove all flaws before painting, these are vintage pieces which due to age will always have flaws.
