Yay! I couldn't wait to show you guys. I finished the tunic and skirt and will hopefully have the poncho done before I have to start preparing for having the family over on the 4th. Went to the fabric store yesterday and fell in love with a chartreuse knit. But the rest of this month is spoken for. Figured out the cretan stitch for the trim. Man, that was one ton of stitching. Now back to our regular programming. Happy Fourth of July to all my friends in the USA.

getting dressed this morning, i realized that i had never taken photos of this skirt that i finished in may, in tokyo. this is the second alabama chanin skirt i have made and i love it just as much as the first. this one i stenciled myself with only one minor paint disaster, which thankfully is not so noticeable after stitching and washing. also, i love this stencil. i can't wait to try some of the variations on it in the new book.
