Old Shell crescent pendant on two braided rope bands decorated with Nassa, white Cowries, Abrus beads, wooden beads and shell discs. Two Bone vertebrae beads and two large wooden beads on each side. Shells are highly prized by the natives. These ornaments were worn by both men and women, and were also utilized as currency in bride price exchanges. Wear consistent with age and use.
