Ed or - Ing | PDF

ed or –ing - Free download as PDF File (.pdf), Text File (.txt) or read online for free. When adding -ed or -ing to verbs ending in a short vowel sound followed by one consonant, double that consonant before adding the ending; when adding -ed or -ing to verbs ending in a vowel-consonant-e, drop the final e before adding the ending. This rule is demonstrated using the examples of "stop" becoming "stopped/stopping" and "move" becoming "moved/moving".
