Arnold Johannes Wilhelm Sommerfeld, ForMemRS[1] (5 Desember 1868 – 26 April 1951) adalah seorang fisikawan teoretikal Jerman yang mepelopori pengembangan fisika atom dan fisika kuantum, dan juga mendidik dan membimbing sejumlah besar murid dari era baru fisika teoterikal. Ia menjabat sebagai petinggi PhD untuk beberapa pemenang Nobel fisika dan kimia (rekor kementorannya hanya berbanding dengan J. J. Thomson).
